A woman sat in a parked car was taken to hospital after the occupants of another car crashed into her and fled the scene.
The incident, on Thaxted Place in Halliwell, took place just after 8pm last night, Saturday, August 26.
Greater Manchester Police (GMP) officers were called to the residential street, where the woman was found with minor injuries following the crash.
A GMP spokesperson said: "It happened around 8.10pm when a car has crashed into a parked car and the occupants have left the scene.
"A woman in the parked car needed hospital treatment for minor injuries."
A resident said: "Large police presence at 8.25pm Saturday on Thaxted Place."
The witness said they saw people running away from a car which had crashed and that police helicopters were present.
