Police taped off an area in Little Lever after being called to a "medical emergency".
Emerency services were called to a medical emergency with part of Church Street cordoned of.
The road has now reopened.
Greater Manchester Police, North West Ambulance staff and fire crews were all in attendance.
A spokesperson for the Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service confirmed that crews were called to the scene to aid paramedics at a "medical emergency".
There were a number of emergency vehicles in attendance within and outside of the cordoned area and neighbouring streets.
Both Greater Manchester Police and the ambulance service have been contacted for a comment and further information.
