Taken in September 1988 this photo shows the demolition of the chimneys at Kearsley Power Station.
Environment minister David Trippier pushed the button to send the six chimneys crashing down to earth.
Over 1,000 people gathered to watch as the chimneys - each standing 325 feet high - were toppled.
The power station opened in 1929 and was later extended, closing in 1980.
