A nail technician from Westhoughton has won an award in the prestigious UK Hair and Beauty Awards.

Emma Gifford, 41, has been doing nails for more than 25 years for friends, family, and herself and during lockdown decided to take a number of courses to qualify as a professional.

After qualifying she opened her business, Vanity Nails in November of 2022 and has seen a steady influx of people using her services.

The mobile nail technician, who works in and around Westhoughton and specialises in gel tips, builder gel and gel manicures, says the win ‘validates the hard work and dedication’ she has put in.

Emma said: “I was nominated for Mobile Nail Technician at the North West Hair and Beauty Awards back in October, and the experience was truly humbling.

“Winning the award is an indescribable joy; it validates the hard work and dedication I've put into my craft.

“This achievement not only propels my personal growth but also holds immense promise for the future of my business.

“The best part of my job is undoubtedly the ability to create unique, satisfying experiences for my clients and without them I wouldn't have this award.”
