This was the sign which greeted bowlers arriving at the Granada Bowl in Burnley in January 1967.
The 10-pin bowling alley at Finsley Gate had opened four years earlier in a glittering ceremony by film and TV actor Douglas Fairbanks Junior. Then it was names Fairlanes Bowling and was one of eight bowling alleys around the country owned by the star.
It had cost £250,000 to build and there were 24 lanes.
It changed its name to the Granada Bowl in 1965 and the site would be used by MFI after its closure.
