A man has been arrested and charged after a spate of offences including stealing cars.

Of all the offences, four took place in Bolton, and the man has now been charged and remanded into custody following an investigation by GMP Neighbourhood Crime Teams.

He has been charged with eight counts of theft of motor vehicles, four counts of attempted burglary of a dwelling, and six counts of burglary of a dwelling

A spokesman for GMP said: "All the offences occurred in March 2024 and four offences took place in Bolton.

"He has been remanded into custody next appearing at Manchester City Crown Court on the 29/04/2024."

It comes after police in Bolton warned people not to leave valuables in sight.

A police spokesman said in February: "We urge the local community to continue to ensure that no belongings are left on display in vehicles, and that vehicles are locked and left in well lit areas covered by CCTV.
