A car believed to have been stolen in a burglary was traced to Bolton after being spotted with a group of men clad in balaclavas.

The car was taken from a house on Standfield Drive, Boothstown, towards the end of last month on March 22.

This week police announced that the car was found at Waterford Court, off Carlton Street in Farnworth and say they are continuing their investigation into who may have taken it.

A Greater Manchester Police spokesperson said: “On March 22 20224 a burglary was reported whereby unknown offenders entered an address on Standfield Drive.

“The offenders took a set of car keys and then proceeded to take the motor vehicle.

“On the same day a report was made to police that the same vehicle was sighted in the Bolton area with one offender driving the vehicle and two others on electric bikes, all wearing balaclavas.

“The car was later recovered from Waterford Court in Bolton.”
