The landlord of a popular pub in Harwood has reassured customers that it is here to stay following bizarre rumours that a ‘convenience store would be built on pub grounds’.

It comes after people had been speculating on the fate of The White Horse on Stitch-Mi-Lane, with some thinking that it was going to either become a shop, or there would be a shop on the same site.

Will Yates, who runs the pub, shared a statement on behalf of the pub company Punch Pubs & Co to let customers know this was not the case - and the pub was thriving.

It states: “We’ve seen some comments recently about plans to build a shop on the grounds of The White Horse, so we just wanted to reach out to everyone and share a statement from our owners, Punch Pubs & Co.
