Today's Best Days of Their Lives photograph features Central Drive school in Westhoughton in 1949.
The picture was originally sent to me by Pamela Clarke, from the Westhoughton Local History Society. It had been sent to her by Keith Ratcliffe who now lives in New Zealand.
Keith remembers the ‘chimbleys’ in the background and told Pamela that the teacher was Miss Dutton. Keith is standing next to the teacher.
If anyone knows the names of the rest of the class, or is on the picture they can e-mail Pamela at pamslocalhistory@googlemail.com and she will let Keith know.
