Today’s photograph, dropped off at our office by someone who did not leave a name should bring back memories for some of you.
The note with the picture tells us that the photograph shows the card room at the Baron Eagle Spinning Company in 1935.
The photograph apparently came in a small booklet produced by the company as a celebration of the King George V Silver Jubilee.
No doubt they sent a copy to the King as well. I wonder if he ever looked at it?
His Jubilee was celebrated in May, 1935, but he died the following January so may not have had the time to look at many of the presents and tributes sent from around the world.
