ARMED robbers struck at a betting shop.
Three raiders, armed with a knife, threatened staff at Ladbrokes in Norris Street, Farnworth, at around 1.30pm on New Years Eve.
A police spokesman said: “Three males entered the shop and used a heavy grid cover to smash the security glass. They escaped with a quantity of cash.”
A 49-year-old woman who was working at the shop was taken to hospital with chest pains after suffering from the effects of shock. She is believed to be in a stable condition.
Police are examining CCTV footage of the raid.
