CRIME SCENE: A police car at the entrance to the car park near Anglezarke Reservoir where the man’s body was found
POLICE have confirmed that a murder victim, whose body was discovered yesterday at Anglezarke Reservoir, is a 22-year-old Asian man.
Umair Waseem, from Bolton, died of severe head injuries according to a post mortem examination.
An investigation is under way after his body was found dumped at the beauty spot yesterday morning.
The victim is understood to have been discovered by a countryside ranger at Anglezarke Reservoir just before 10am yesterday.
Police are still appealing for information on a silver series seven BMW, registration plate DF02 JFK, believed to be in the area on Sunday from 5.15pm onwards.
