Youngsters at Bowness Primary School in Little Lever are enjoying keeping fit and healthy — thanks to a little help from Bolton Wanderers.
The club’s Healthy Goals for Life team is visiting schools across the borough to give classroom talks about the importance of eating healthily.
As part of the activities, Wanderers staff are also giving children the opportunity to try out special fitness equipment in school halls.
Year five and six pupils at Bowness Primary will be taking advantage of the sessions until the February half-term.
Headteacher Peter Sturgess said: “Staff from the Bolton Wanderers in the Community scheme have worked with us on different projects for some time.
“The children have really enjoyed these sessions. We think the coaches have done a really good job of combining the lessons in the classroom and on the gym equipment.”
