A YOUNG boy sparked a blaze drama when he set fire to his bed.
Three-year-old Dylan Halpin started the fire while playing with a lighter he found in his house in Windover Street, Deane.
He went downstairs for a bottle of fabric freshener which he took back to his room to try to extinguish the flames.
Luckily his father, Daniel, smelled smoke and dashed upstairs to find the bedroom alight.
He tried to tackle the fire with a bucket of water but it was spreading too quickly so he fled with Dylan. Mr Halpin’s partner, Tanya Goodier, and their second child, nine-month-old Cody, also escaped the house.
