THE “celebrity” line up for a charity dancing competition has been announced.

Organiser, Jan O’Brien — who is raising money for charities which helped her as she recovered from cancer — has unveiled the contestants who will battle it out in a Strictly Come Dancing-style contest later this year.

Taking part in the Shall We Dance show will be Horwich councillor, and former mayor of Bolton, Barbara Ronson, ex Bolton Wanderers player Tony Kelly, The Bolton News’ fashion writer Jenny Minard, Bolton Arena event manager Stephanie Whittingham, consultant radiologist at The Christie Hospital Dr Jeremy Lawrance and Amy Wright, a reader of The Bolton News.

They will be partnered with dancers from Club 2000, a Horwich-based dance school.

Mr Kelly said: “I was the worst dancer at the first rehearsal but I think I am going to pick it up and could go on to win it.

“It is all in the name of charity and I hope that lots of people come and support us.”
