A MAN has died in a house fire in Atherton.
His grandmother managed to escape from the blaze, in Sumner Street, and told the emergency services her 27-year-old grandson was trapped inside.
Firefighters tried to rescue the man, but they found him dead in an upstairs bedroom.
The area was cordoned off and police and fire investigators were last night trying to determine the cause of the fire.
