CASSOCKS and robes were left aside as church members in Blackrod donned gloves and cleaning gear to dust off the cobwebs.
At St Katharine’s Church, 12 women and a few male helpers decided it was time for a spring clean.
They met on Saturday for a pinny party and got to work.
Church member Jean Hibbert said: “We had noticed cobwebs were starting to build up, but we can’t afford to hire cleaners, so we did it ourselves. By having a party with lunch it made it fun. I am sure we will be doing it again.”
