The eco-warriors on the student council at Blackshaw Primary School in Breightmet have their say.
- Jack Alston, aged eight, said: “Adults could do a bit more when it comes to protecting the environment, such as recycling more. They need to be more aware of the importance of being green.”
- Chloe Brown, aged 10, said: “Grown-ups should do more when it comes to saving the environment — they could learn a lesson from us. Recycling and saving energy are very important.”
- Matthew Edgar, aged 11, said: “They need to be more aware of issues. I think our generation will carry on being green when we are adults as we have been taught about the effect our actions can have.”
- Zoe Harrison, aged 11, said: “Adults do not do enough. They could learn from young people. They waste a lot instead of recycling it.The Government should do more to teach adults about how important it is to protect the planet.”
