A 39-year-old man has been charged with 19 offences after a car was stolen with a four-month-old baby boy inside in Bolton.
Craig Masterson, aged 40, of Ivanhoe Street, Bolton, was due to appear at Bolton Magistrates Court today.
At about 5.15pm on Thursday 26 February 2009, a man wearing a police jacket stole a silver Lexus with a baby inside from Hypatia Street.
A short time later, a man driving a stolen Nissan Micra returned the baby safe and well before driving off.
Masterson has been charged with robbery, child abduction, two counts of dangerous driving, three counts of driving whilst disqualified, three counts of driving with no insurance, failing to stop at the scene of a collision, theft of a motor vehicle, two counts of wearing a police uniform with intent to deceive, three counts of theft from a vehicle, burglary and possession of a class A drug.
