Atherton Collieries had keeper Josh Harris to thank for a number of crucial saves as they recorded their first win of the season in NW Counties Division One, beating fellow strugglers Eccleshall 2-0 at Alder House.
Colls — without a league win since April — were under early pressure and Harris was forced to make a triple save before new skipper Michael Rhead scored his first goal for the club from the penalty spot on 28 minutes.
Harris made another vital save late on before Paul Atherton secured the points with a header two minutes from time.
