LIGHTS dedicated to lost loved ones have been switched on at Bolton Hospice.
More than 150 people gathered for the annual Light Up A Life Appeal service on Wednesday night.
The festive appeal gives relatives and friends the chance to sponsor a light in someone’s memory, with the proceeds going to the hospice.
Matt Boyle, director of fundraising, said: “The people of Bolton have been very generous again with their support of this appeal, but there is still time for those who haven’t dedicated a light to a loved one to make their donation.
“The appeal shows how much local support there is. The money will go to continued care for patients and families and it’s a special way to remember loved ones.”
To Light Up A Life contact the hospice on 01204 663055, pick up a form at one of the hospice shops or visit boltonhospice.org.uk for more information.
Hospice trees were also lit up at the town centre’s Christmas lights switch-on last night and a special service will be held at Bolton Parish Church on Wednesday from 7pm.
