A WOMAN has denied causing the death of a pensioner by careless driving.
Paula Kingston, aged 44, of Washacre, Westhoughton, appeared before Bolton Crown Court on Friday where she entered a not guilty plea.
She has been charged in connection with the death of Colin McMillan, aged 70, from Eastbourne.
Mr McMillian was walking along Washacre, near its junction with Leigh Road, when he was struck by a Rover 75 car in December last year.
He suffered serious head injuries and was taken to the Royal Bolton Hospital, where he later died.
A trial date has now been set for May 5.
