ROADworks in Lostock Lane, Bolton, will mean changes to bus timetables in the area, according to Greater Manchester Passenger Transport Executive.
GMPTE is advising bus passengers that services 516, 517, and 615 will be diverted from January 4 for about 14 weeks.
Originally the closures were due to come into effect on Monday, but they have been put back several weeks.
Journeys towards Westhoughton and Leigh will operate from the Beehive via Tesco, Middlebrook (McDonalds), Parklands then De Havilland Way and A6 to Wingates.
Passengers are advised to use the McDonalds stop in Middlebrook for all journeys to Leigh. Only services towards Horwich will use the ASDA stop at Middlebrook.
Journeys towards Horwich will operate via A6, De Havilland Way, Parklands, ASDA, Tesco, then on to the Beehive.
