POLICE are continuing to appeal for witnesses after a teenage girl was raped in Bolton.
The 16-year-old girl was attacked at around 10pm on Saturday when she was walking along Fern Street, Farnworth.
She was dragged into an alleyway between Rawson Street and Brook Street and raped.
The rapist was stocky, about 5ft 9in tall and was wearing a grey hooded top, black Nike tracksuit bottoms and white trainers.
The victim had spotted an unknown man in Darley Park moments earlier. It is thought this man may have followed and attacked the victim.
The 16-year-old was due to be interviewed by police about her ordeal yesterday.
Anyone with information is asked to call Bolton CID on 0161 856 0961, or the independent charity Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555 111.
