THERE are many reasons other than a "learning disability" why some people are leaving school unable to read and write.
I am a student at the University of Bolton doing my dissertation on people of all ages who left school barely able to read and write. I would like people who have difficulty with literacy, regardless of age, sex or ethnicity, to get in touch with me to give me their experiences and how it has affected their life.
