THE future of wildlife in Lancashire is being protected by a North West accountancy firms sponsorship of The Game Conservancy Trust.

A three year partnership between Manchester firm Saffery Champness and the trust will support its Biodiversity Action Plan (BAP) work, focusing on sustaining numbers of the endangered grey partridge, black grouse and brown hare.

Mike Harrison, a partner with the firm, said: "We are proud to be involved in this important project, which will help to ensure the survival of endangered species and their habitats."
