A £62M grant has been awarded to turn plans for a new promenade and sea wall at Blackpool into a reality.
The stretch of promenade from the North Pier to the Sandcastle entertainment centre will be renovated, protecting the sea front from high tides.
Blackpool Council told BBC Lancashire the work will put an end to excess water and debris being washed onto the shore.
