A BOLTON organisation which offers regular friendship and support to families under stress is currently looking for volunteers.
Bolton Home-Start works to help prevent family crisis and breakdown by providing an ongoing support network.
Depression, difficulties with family relationships, unemployment, followed by loneliness and isolation, are the main reasons for families asking for support from Home-Start. Volunteers receive support and accredited training, make new friends and have fun. Many volunteers go on to further training and jobs in health, education and social services.
A volunteer information session will be held on Wednesday April 27, from 1pm to 3pm, at Sure Start, Shepherd Cross Street, Halliwell, Bolton, or ring Home-Start on Bolton 362786 for more information.
