WITH regard to the current state of the roads in Bolton, may I suggest that the people who decided to use the tons of tarmacadam for the creation of speed humps be made to dig them up.

I am sure that, when recycled, there would be more than sufficient material to repair all the roads in Bolton, and probably most of the North-west.

Anyone wanting to see the 'deterrent' effect of the speed humps should watch the motorcyclists who frequent Lever Edge Lane, standing up on their foot-rests to lift their front wheels in the air.
