A MAN was injured when he was unseated from a pony and trap in Smithills.
The driver fell from the cart and was dragged along the ground by the pony as it continued to walk along the road.
A team from Bolton Mountain Rescue were called out to deal with the accident at 11.53am, on Sunday, off Longshaw Road, at Pendlebury's Farm.
Ambulance parasmedics were called to the scene and gave the man treatment for cuts to his face and body.
