A TOP darts player will take part in a charity event in aid of cancer victim Gemma Feeney.
Kevin Painter will be aiming for the bullseye at the Beaumont Arms pub when he takes on pub regulars and challengers in the fundraiser on Wednesday.
Mr Painter is ranked number seven in the world.
The 37-year-old has given his services for free in order to boost the fund for Gemma , who needs to raise £90,000 to pay for revolutionary treatment called Cyberknife surgery.
The 26-year-old, from Deane, has been undergoing chemotherapy and has been told by doctors in Italy that it has shrunk the two tumours on her spinal cord by more than 50 per cent.
But there is a chance that the cancer could return after the course of chemotherapy treatment has been completed.
But if the she is given the all-clear, the £54,000 she has already raised will be given to charity.
The darts event will start at pub in Armadale Road, Ladybridge at 8pm.
