A SUPPORT group has launched an urgent appeal for help to produce a DVD which will provide extra reassurance for people with dementia.
Simple recorded messages from carers and loved ones are being created by a group from Thicketford Community Centre, Tonge Moor, to play to those who are in respite or day care who become disorientated or distressed.
People with dementia find it harder to remember things and separation from their main carer can cause anxiety and disruption for them.
The group received funding through a East Bolton Regeneration grant to buy visual equipment to produce individualised recordings.
It now plans to produce a short DVD.
The support group is looking for people with editing expertise to help them produce professional recordings.
Anyone who want to help should call 01204 337597.
