VANDALS are being blamed for a suspected arson attack on a garage which destroyed two cars.
Firefighters were called to the repair garage at Highfield Industrial Estate, on Highfield Road, Little Hulton, after residents reported a car had been set alight.
They discovered that the blaze had spread to two other vehicles in the compound, which is used to store vehicles overnight. A trailer, which is believed to contain storage drums, was also damaged in the fire. A Renault Laguna, a Ford Fiesta and a Peugeot 405 were all damaged. It is believed that vandals broke into the compound before setting the vehicles alight. Police are asking anyone with any information is to call Crimestoppers free on 0800 555 111.
