ROMEO and Juliet, perhaps the most famous and best-loved of all Shakespeare's plays, takes the audience on an unforgettable journey of high passions, secret liaisons and fights to the death.
It also makes a classic ballet, which will be presented at The Lowry from Wednesday, January 19, to Saturday, January 22, by the Birmingham National Ballet.
Renowned British choreographer Kenneth MacMillan's glorious production takes us from exquisite scenes of quiet intimacy and intense passion and includes such show-stopping spectacles as the Capulets ball where the star-crossed lovers first meet.
With a magical score by Prokofiev, Romeo and Juliet, one of the Birmingham company's most popular works, will sweep you towards a heartbreaking end.
