TWO solid granite plant pots have been stolen from outside a Bolton residential home.
The pots, worth about £100 each, were taken from The Bakewells Residential Home in Junction Road, Deane.
They are four feet long, made of granite and have flowers in the centres.
The home is owned and run by Cllr Andy Morgan and his wife Helen.
Cllr Morgan said: "It must have taken four men to lift one of these pots because they are so heavy.
"When we reported the theft, the civilian officer asked us what we wanted him to do about it.
"We have vulnerable residents here who need protecting. I am a great supporter of the police but am not happy with the response we have had."
A police spokesman said: "We received a report that two planters were stolen from a garden in Junction Road. This matter is being treated seriously and an investigation is under way."
