A CAMPAIGN to encourage people to recycle their old mobile phones and chargers in aid of charity is being backed by the Mayor of Bolton, Councillor Prentice Howarth.
Collection points will be established in Bolton town centre - at Crompton Place Shopping Centre, all branches of ASDA,Tesco, Morrisons, Safeways and Sainsburys - and freepost envelopes will also be available to make donating as easy as possible.
The campaign is in aid of the charity Child Victims of Crime and is being organised by the council's Youth Offending Team, Greater Manchester Police, the Safer Bolton Strategic Partnership and others.
It will run for three weeks commencing January 4 to enable people who have received new mobile phones to donate their old ones.
For details or a freepost envelope contact Chris Seel on 01204 331263.
