Wanderers emerged with all the credit and virtually confirmed their Premiership survival after a famous 2-2 fightback draw with title-chasing Arsenal which ended with an amazing six minutes added time, and a furious blast from manager Sam Allardyce at the match referee.
It also made sure Sunday's Maine Road visit of West Ham to Manchester City and the White Hart Lane clash between Spurs and current leaders Manchester United would be a must-see Sky TV experience
Wanderers almost equalled Arsenal in the first half, but were stunned by a two-goal burst early in the second-half before Djorkaeff and embarrassingly a Keown own goal left Wanderers five points clear of the Hammers and Arsenal two points behind United.
Allardyce told Sky Sports: "This was an absolutely magnifcent comeback. It was a wonderful, wonderful display."
