Middlesbrough 1, Wanderers 1:BO Hansen scored his first goal for 11 months to rescue a point as Wanderers - the comeback kings - did it again writes Gordon Sharrock

Trailing to Noel Whelan's first half goal and without the services of midfield ace Per Frandsen, who was stretchered off in the 18th minute, Sam Allardyce's never-say-die squad came from behind to draw for the fourth Premiership game in a row.

And they deserved it too after producing a rousing second-half show, having looked distinctly second best in the first period.

The point saver came in the 73rd minute when Gudni Bergsson got on the end of an Anthony Barness free-kick and the ball fell to Hansen, who lashed in an unstoppable shot for his first goal since scoring in the home draw with Grimsby last February.

Michael Ricketts could have claimed all three points too if he had managed to keep his shot down after holding off the attentions of Gareth Southgate in a chase for Gareth Farrelly's long ball.
