I AM writing with regard to the lifetime ban for the Bolton Wanderers supporter who was banned for invading the pitch and pointing at his watch.

In my opinion this is a total over-reaction by the club towards a life-long supporter who let his frustration get the better of him.

I am a season ticket holder and while I don't condone what this gentleman did, I can understand his frustration and think a stern warning from the club or perhaps a short ban would have been enough.

I have written to the club and hope they will reconsider.
