Wanderers defender Simon Charlton is still leading the field in Premiership appearances.
To date, the full back has played in every one of Wanderers 23 Premiership games making him the only ever-present in the league this season - and is determined to go the distance.
"I was 19 or 20, back in my Huddersfield days, when I last went through a season as an ever-present," says the in-form defender, "and I'd love to do it again.
"Not a lot of players manage it these days because the game is so fast and furious. That's why the gaffer rests a few of us in the cup games.
"It's a physical impossibility for anybody to play 60 games a season any more. The day after a game, if you're not feeling the effects of running round for 95 minutes you haven't been working hard enough!"
Sam Allardyce said in tribute to one of the most consistent members of his squad: "He's a perfect example of what we want ... stronger in his overall game, stronger in his fitness and a player who knows what it needs today to stay at that level."
