THE club that I have supported all my life seem totally unable to differentiate between an act of hooliganism and something that I would class as a minor misdemeanor.
The ban imposed is totally disproportionate to the offence. There must be thousands of fans out there who are saying to themselves 'it could have been me!'
I am a season ticket holder (including the bad & not so good old days) and a Lifeline member. What this fan did was wrong, you don't go on the pitch, however he has expressed his regret and apologised to the club and been punished through the courts.
A life ban on top of this is excessive and I must say concentrates the mind on what the club actually think about loyal and dedicated fans. If this ban is not lifted I for one will consider becoming a 'part-timer ' maybe then I will become less passionate about the club and never have to worry about being banned for life.
