WANDERERS

4-3-3/4-5-1

JUSSI JAASKELAINEN ... 7

Super saves denied Carr and Sheringham but he was left stranded for all three goals

ANTHONY BARNESS ... 6

Honest to goodness defending but collectively the defenders had to carry the can

GUDNI BERGSSON ... 6

So desperately wanted to bid farewell to his old club with a positive result

MIKE WHITLOW ... 7

Some outstanding stuff first half - nobody worked harder to draw the Spurs sting

SIMON CHARLTON ... 6

Like the others at the back, could not be faulted first half but the first two goals were in his zone

KEVIN NOLAN ... 6

Conjured up a touch of magic to tee-up Djorkaeff for the equaliser

IVAN CAMPO ... 7

Got stuck in and showed good touches too with his range of passing

GARETH FARRELLY ... 6

Energy and endeavour in midfield but his being caught in possession led to Spurs' third

YOURI DJORKAEFF ... 6

Claimed his third goal of the season with a finish to match the quality of Nolan's pass

MICHAEL RICKETTS ... 6

Unnerved the Spurs defenders but missed a couple of chances to end his goal drought

His return added pace, penetration and energy to the attack which has been in short supply

MAN OF THE MATCH

ROBBIE KEANE - The striker was a menace from the start with his high energy and direct running then, just when Spurs appeared to be getting frustrated, he pounced twice - ruthlessly punishing Wanderers for some less than convincing defending. He will punish a lot more defences before the season is out.

MOAN OF THE MATCH

THE Wanderers' defence, so resolute in the first half, simply did not learn their lesson. Punished for some sloppy marking by Keane's first and seeing Nolan and Djorkaeff conjure up an equaliser, they should not have been caught out a second time.

MAGIC MOMENT

GARDNER lit the fuse with a determined burst from midfield, Nolan provided the ammunition with a delicately-weighted chip and Djorkaeff's finish did the damage, leaving Keller stranded and Wanderers impressively back on terms.
