HOLDERS Dobbies A were early victims as they were knocked out of the BSF Over-35s League's Sam Ashworth Trophy.

Cross Keys proved more than their match as they took an early lead and never lost it on the way to a well deserved 3-1 win.

The Colliers Rest joined them in the quarter finals after beating the Newmarket 5-1, and Garswood United also progressed after thrashing Plough 7-1, Brian Hateley scoring four.

Third Division Bolton Wyresdale gave First Division Turton a scare before finally losing 3-1 in extra time after a Hutchinson hat-trick.

Old Smithillians edged a tight game 1-0 against Hayward Old Boys and Elton Vale moved into the last eight after crushing Walkden Wrecks 6-0, Phil Wheelhouse hitting a hat-trick.

In a re-arranged Sam Ashworth First Round match, Daten AFC lost out to Dobbies B 4-2. Dobbies B now play the Fox & Stork in the next round.

Lord Raglan moved to the top of Division Two after thrashing the Bay Mare Strollers 5-0 in a re-arranged league match. Strollers never got out of bed, and succumbed very easily to a powerful and polished performance from the Lord Raglan, who were worthy winners. Lord Raglan are now a point clear at the top while the Bay Mare remain fourth.
