YEAR Seven pupils at Ladybridge High School bit their lips, stayed mum and in the process managed to raise £50 for charity.
Two classes of 11 and 12-year-olds at the school in Deane took part in a 50-minute sponsored silence to raise money for the Royal Bolton Hospital's Coronary Care Appeal.
The total was added to the money raised by Year 11 pupils who sold photographs of their summer leaving ball, making a total of £250.
