I HAVE the Bolton Evening News as my opening page on my computer, as I love to read what's going on in the town where I was born.
I was just reading about what you are thinking of doing with the Market Hall. Why would you want to do that, and spoil it? It is one of Bolton's heritage buildings, along with the Town Hall and all the other lovely old buildings. They are what Bolton is all about.
I have lived in Canada for 38 years, and, believe me, there is nothing like it here. We have lots of those modern glass buildings, and they all look the same -- they have no character at all.
I realise times change and we have to change with the times, but there are some things that are better left just as they are, and the Market Hall is one of them.
