A 33-YEAR-OLD man has been arrested after an attempted robbery at a bookmakers in Bolton town centre.
A man walked into Done Bookmakers in Newport Street at 5.45pm on Tuesday and demanded staff hand over cash from the till and safe after telling them he had a weapon in his pocket.
Staff told the man he was on CCTV and he fled empty handed.
A man fitting the description given to police by staff was arrested near to the shop shortly afterwards and was due to be questioned by police.
