FIREMEN were called after a carelessly discarded cigarette set fire to a bin at the Walkden Motor Spares shop on Monday.
The blaze was discovered by shop staff who spotted smoke coming from the Bolton Road shop as they returned from lunch.
Damage was confined to the bin and slight smoke damage to the shop interior.
