Fleetwood 3 Atherton Colls 2: ATHERTON Collieries came within a whisker of upsetting NW Counties League title hopefuls Fleetwood, only to lose to a goal two minutes from the end.
Collieries led twice at Highbury Stadium, going ahead in the fifth minute, when debutant Anthony Johnson chipped the keeper.
Mark Wane equalised for Fleetwood in the 32nd minute, but then Johnson drove in his second goal to restore Collieries' lead right on half-time.
But Lee Catlow equlised with 20 minutes left, before Phil Thompson scored Fleetwood's 88th-minute winner.
