work has started to build the centre piers for a new bridge to carry the M60 across the Princess Parkway at Northern Moor.
The bridge is a key part of the £102 million widening of the M60 between Junction 5 at Northern Moor, and Junction 8 at Stretford.
Highways Agency bosses believe that the work will improve safety, ease congestion and improve journey times for road users on this stretch of the M60.
Some lanes on the A5103 Princess Highway will be closed and will be reduced from three lanes to one lane in each direction overnight. The motorway will be reduced to two lanes northbound for 10 days from 5.30am on Thursday to 5.30am on Monday, November 1.
