A 70-YEAR-OLD woman died after she was struck by a lorry as she crossed a road in Astley.
Verla Collier of North Lane, Astley, collided with a Foden truck as she was crossing Manchester Road near to the junction of North Lane yesterday at 12.50pm on Thursday. The driver of the wagon was a 41-year-old man from Wigan.
